Middle School Multimedia Art
​OR Drawing 

Multimedia: 
Students encouraged to create their own designs by using new materials and mediums.  New materials are introduced, and students are guided in how to interpret their project design.  This combination class still offers students a sampling of art projects using various media such as painting, watercolors, printmaking, collage, and pastels.  Several projects are “built upon” each class, so that students experience a variety of mediums and take home several projects.  Projects are new every session, so sign up for all sessions.
​Drawing: 
This drawing class is designed for students of all levels of drawing experience, and would like to learn some advanced techniques and explore new mediums.  Many projects are “built upon” each class, so that students experience a variety of mediums and take home several projects.

Middle School Clay Classes 

Clay  (classes ONCE per week)
​$250 for 7 week session
The world of making your own clay creations! This class will teach you how to create several hand-built clay pieces.  Students will be introduced to Kiln firing, and procedures, as well as stages of clay: Wet, Greenware, Bisqueware, and more.  Each student will custom glaze each project, and have all pieces fired in our kiln. 
Students from Thompson can easily walk over after school to join all classes.
Projects are new every session, so sign-up for all sessions.

Wheel Throwing (Classes once per week)
​$375 7 weeks (limited to 6 students)
Satisfy your curiosity, and experience a fun and thorough introduction to throwing on the potter’s wheel. Learn the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups, bowls and more in this exciting introduction to throwing fundamentals. Your instructor guides you through the process of throwing, shaping and trimming pots on the wheel. Special handbuilding project and casting will also included.   Basic surface decoration and glazing techniques are also demonstrated. This class is designed for students any level experience on the potter’s wheel.  Those who have more experience will complete more pieces/ advanced techniques. Those learning will master the basic skills to create wheel thrown pieces. Register for all classes, as we will build on experience of the students.

High School Classes

High School (6 classes ONCE per week) $240

In this high school class, students will have an opportunity for Independent Study.  We will offer access to all materials in the studio (including clay hand-building and wheel throwing). We wanted to be able to offer a class so that all of the kids can still gather together, but also create art together, which all unites them. :)
We have designed this class to be more of an independent study. Students will meet with a teacher to design projects for the session (6 classes). They will have a teacher showing techniques each class and check in individually during each class, as a progress check in, and help keep time & progress. They will have access to all materials in the studio to use, and create pieces that reflect what they would like to learn and design.
Some students will work on a clay project, while others will paint with watercolors. All will be grouped in the same space, so they can interact, but create what they want.

Wednesday Middle School Art Club 2:00- 3:30

Looking for somewhere for the MS kids to go after Early Release Wednesdays? ​This Middle School Class is perfect for an after school Art Experience. This Art Class is geared towards more holiday/ theme crafty projects versus Art Lessons.
No art skill required- just come out and have fun! We will complete many projects over the course of 6 week session including hand building with clay, painting with acrylics, watercolor and sculpture Every session will be new projects that the kids vote and decide what to make.  
Middle School Art Club (7 Classes once per week) $230 or $35/ Drop In class

***We have a group that walks over on Wednesdays together from Thompson, or they can walk on their own at the crosswalk on 7th street, and west on North Ave 2.5 blocks. .
​Or drop off kids by 2:15 to enjoy our classes together. 
Register for Full Session for discounted rate- or just drop in for each day at $35/ workshop. You will need to register individually to pick which classes you'd like to attend. 
Yes- You can bring a snack & water bottle to class & eat before we begin.​

*For One Day Workshops, we need 7 days notice to give a credit, minus processing fees.  Any classes cancelled after 7 days before start date, will receive a credit to studio only- less processing fee. Any Class cancelled the day of will not be eligible for refund or credit.  
*Children, teens & adults and/or their art work may be photographed during the course of activities, and these photographs may appear in our promotional materials, such as our Website or other social media pages.
*All Classes can be “stacked”  (multi-session discount automatically applied upon registration.) Sibling discounts are also automatic and do not have to be same class or age groups.
